| WASHINGTON: Coming off a division title, the Redskins made a splash in free agency when they signed CB Josh Norman to immediately improve a defense that ranked 28th in yards allowed last season. If QB Kirk Cousins is as good as the franchise tag says he is, Washington will be a contender in the East. It'd be nice for the Redskins if WR Josh Doctson can step in and contribute as a rookie. The team has lacked a legitimate red zone threat in recent years and that is exactly where the rookie is expected to excel. RB Matt Jones must also correct his fumbling issues, as he's in for an increased role. | | TAMPA BAY: QB Jameis Winston was impressive as a rookie, and he reportedly worked himself into signifcantly better physical shape during the offseason. RB Doug Martin and WR Mike Evans are great complements at skill positions, but the offensive line is still weak. If it can't find a way to keep Winston upright then the Bucs aren't going to be much better in 2016. Things still aren't going to be great along the defensive front despite the signing of DE Robert Ayers. Rookie CB Vernon Hargreaves should, however, help improve this secondary. |
