| BALL ST: Ball State's secondary was nowhere to be found last season, allowing 319.7 yards per game. Only two teams in the nation did worse than that, so this group will need to find a way to stop the pass. If it can do that then the Cardinals might not finish in last. But that's a big 'if'. | | W MICHIGAN: P.J. Fleck is no longer with WMU, but the team does have eight defensive starters returning from a unit that helped the Broncos to a one-loss
season last year. If QB Jon Wassink can be 3/4 the player Zach Terrell was then WMU could take the top spot in the West Division. |
