| E CAROLINA: The Pirates found themselves a new head coach this offseason, hiring former Duke offensive coordinator Scottie Montgomery. His first order of business is to balance the discrepancy between the pass (35th in nation) and run game (112th in nation). Tennessee transfer RB Derrell Scott is expected to be the guy to get the run game going for East Carolina.
| | VIRGINIA TECH: New head coach Justin Fuente brings the high-powered offensive approach he used at Memphis, but it remains to be seen whether Brenden Motley or Jerod Evans will begin the season as the starting QB. Bud Foster, now in his 29th season at Virginia Tech, remains as the defensive coordinator. |
