| UTSA: It's curious why a school like UTSA breaking in 19 new starters would schedule such a challenging non-conference slate: at Arizona, versus Kansas State, at Oklahoma State and versus Colorado State. The Roadrunners were the second-worst team in the nation on third downs (28%), and the combination of untested quarterbacks and a thin receiving corps is a recipe for another losing season. There's a real possibility they lose all four conference home games (Louisiana Tech, Old Dominion, Rice and Middle Tennessee). | | UTEP: Losing half the starters on last year's seven-win team will certainly hinder the Miners in 2015. They also have seven road games on the schedule, and have recorded just one winning season in 22 previous tries when this quirk has occurred (2000). Some of the road contests this year won't be too difficult though, especially New Mexico State, Southern Miss and North Texas. Home games versus Incarnate Word, UTSA and Florida Atlantic should all send the UTEP fans home happy as well. The Miners also get to host both division favorites Louisiana Tech and Rice. |
