| NEW MEXICO ST: Despite winning their first bowl in 57 years, head coach Doug Martin's Aggies still have something to prove in 2018 after getting the boot from the Sun Belt. Now an Independent, NMSU has winnable games on its schedule and a defense that will keep it in almost every contest. The primary challenge comes on offense, where the Aggies must replace quarterback Tyler Rogers and RB Larry Rose III, who led the team in rushing and was second in receiving last season. | | UTAH ST: Quarterback Jordan Love showed promise after taking over the starting job midway through last season, and he'll be well-positioned to take big strides forward as a sophomore. The entire starting five along the offensive line returns, and WR Ron'quavion Tarver and TE Dax Raymond give him big targets to throw to. The real strength of this team is its defense, though, where nine starters are back from a unit that was solid in 2017, especially in the secondary. |
