| SAN JOSE ST: The Spartans will look similar this season, as 15 starters return. The defense is the weaker of their two units, and new defensive coordinator Ron English will be tasked with turning it around. Look for the team to improve on its 6-7 record now that it have more experience than in recent seasons. | | TULSA: The strength of this team should be an offense that ranked 15th in FBS last season and ultimately led the Golden Hurricane to a bowl appearance. QB Dane Evans (4,332 passing yds, 25 TD) returns, as does his top receiver, Josh Atkinson (76 rec, 1,071 yds, 5 TD). If Tulsa is to make a run at an AAC East crown, things will need to drastically improve on a defense that ranked 126th in FBS last season. |
