| ARMY: Although quarterbacks Ahmad Bradshaw and Chris Carter each do a solid job running Army's run-first attack, the Black Knights need to establish at least some semblance of a passing game a year after completing only 49 passes with nine interceptions on just 108 attempts. Senior LBs Andrew King and Jeremy Timph return as the heart of a defense that needs to be more opportunistic after having forced only 11 turnovers last season, including just four over the team's final eight games.
| | NORTH TEXAS: The Mean Green had just one win last season and there's little reason to believe that this season will be much better. Seth Littrell, who had been North Carolina's offensive coordinator, is North Texas' new head coach.
