| TROY: Neal Brown's return should create plenty of long-term optimism for Troy. If nothing else, his fast-breaking, pass-happy offense should make things interesting in a league that has leaned spread but run-heavy in recent years. Brown might have the right quarterback in sophomore Brandon Silvers, but the offense lacks the kind of catch-and-run weapons his offense needs. Not to mention, the defense is still a work in progress. The Trojans seem poised to make a move towards the top of the league in the coming years, but they're middle-of-the-pack in 2015. | | MISSISSIPPI ST: As long as star quarterback Dak Prescott is on the field, the Bulldogs have the ability to play with anyone in the SEC. However, after watching them limp to the finish last season, with losses at Alabama and Ole Miss, then a weak showing in a bowl loss to Georgia Tech, you start to wonder just how real last year's 9-0 start was. The good news is that the schedule is friendlier this season. The Bulldogs will host LSU, Alabama and Ole Miss. |
