| KANSAS: Heading into this season, David Beaty had won just two games in two seasons with Kansas. The Jayhawks have been blown out more than most other Power 5 programs, but they should be a lot more competitive this year. Kansas has plenty of talent alone the defensive line, and that should bode well against Big 12 offenses. The Jayhawks do, however, need more from the secondary and a lot more from their pitiful offense. | | IOWA ST: Iowa State has been a Big 12 punching bag in recent years, but that should change soon. Head coach Matt Campbell is not far from turning this thing around. The Cyclones have some serious weapons on offense in WR Allen Lazard and RBs Mike Warren and David Montgomery. The team just needs QB Jacob Park to continue to progress. Iowa State also needs a lot more out of a defense that was miserable a year ago. |
