| | | TAMPA BAY: Key Additions: QB Jason Boltus, QB Luke Collis, WR Johnny Thomas, WR Jarvis Williams, OL Cory Brandon, DL Everett Dawkins, DB Al Phillips.
Outlook: With last season's starting quarterback Randy Hippeard now with division foe Orlando after one season as the Storm's full-time starter, former Spokane, Utah and Orlando quarterback Jason Boltus will take over the reins in 2015. Tampa/Orlando will certainly be an interesting match-up this season as the two team's starters basically just switched uniforms this season. Boltus (2,711 yards, 54 TD, 11 INT in '14) will team up with wideout T.T. Toliver, but TB will be without their top two receivers from a season ago (Amarri Jackson and Joe Hills). It'll be tough to replace that kind of void, but Johnny Thomas hopes to step in and pick up some of the slack. On defense, coach Lawrence Samuels has some fresh talent to his disposal as he enters his second season at the helm of the Tampa Bay Storm. The losses on offense, however, could be too much to compete with Jacksonville and Orlando in the division this season. | | ARIZONA: Key Additions: QB B.J. Coleman, FB Mykel Benson, WR Dwight Jones, WR Marquis Maze, OL Mike Golic Jr., OL Brennen Carvalho, DB Rayshaun Kizer.
Outlook: The defending champions, led by head coach Kevin Guy (77-27 in regular season, 11-3 in postseason as Rattlers HC) and reigning league MVP quarterback Nick Davila, will be looking for a four-peat this season after defeating the Gladiators 72-32 in the 2014 ArenaBowl. The league's No. 1 player, Davila, has all the weapons he needs on offense and . In 22 seasons in franchise history, the Rattlers have 19 playoff appearances, nine division titles and five ArenaBowl championships (nine ArenaBowl appearances). With returning stars such as WRs Rod Windsor and Kerry Reed, Davila is poised for another MVP-worthy season under center as he heads into his sixth season with the Rattlers. You can expect to see a fifth-straight division title for Arizona as they are likely to rank No. 1 in scoring offense again this season. |
