KEY GAME INFORMATION
NEW ORLEANS: The Saints signed DT Nick Fairley and LBs James Laurinaitis and Craig Robertson to bolster a woeful defense, but it may be first-round draft pick DT Sheldon Rankins who makes the biggest impact. The Saints' defense has long been this team's weakness, but a decent improvement should be expected and that just might be enough to keep this team competitive in the NFC. QB Drew Brees loses TE Ben Watson and WR Marques Colston, but picks up the reliable TE Coby Fleener and still has WR Brandin Cooks as his go-to guy.
NEW ENGLAND: With Patriots QB Tom Brady's attempt to avoid serving a Deflategate suspension having been rejected by an appeals court in mid-July, QB Jimmy Garoppolo will be under center for the first four games of 2016. The offense isn't expected to change much, as the Pats have a ton of faith in their young backup. TE Martellus Bennett adds another dimension to New England's prolific passing game, but the defense will need to fill the pass-rushing void created by the off-season trade of DE Chandler Jones to Arizona.
