| PHILADELPHIA: Although the Eagles gave up a lot to get QB Carson Wentz with the draft's second overall pick, QB Sam Bradford is likely to start the season under center. He'll need to be extremely effective in order to keep Wentz from starting games this season. They were able to unload several Chip Kelly signings, including RB DeMarco Murray, LB Kiko Alonso and CB Byron Maxwell, but Philadelphia didn't get much immediate help in return. RB Ryan Mathews should be a bit better now that he is in line to be the bellcow in this offense. | | INDIANAPOLIS: The Colts' main objective will be to keep QB Andrew Luck upright and healthy. First-round pick C Ryan Kelly will start immediately, and half of the two-deep o-line depth chart could be rookies. That doesn't necessarily bode well for Luck, who spent most of last season dealing with a lacerated spleen. The Colts could also really use a bounceback year from RB Frank Gore. Indianapolis fired defensive coordinator Greg Manusky in January and hired Ted Monachino, who had been the Ravens' linebackers coach since 2010, to replace him. |
