KEY GAME INFORMATION
ORLANDO: GUARDS: VICTOR OLADIPO, who will miss the first four weeks of season with a facial fracture suffered in a late October practice, will play off the ball more, allowing him to slash from the wing. It's a more natural role for him . . . With Jameer Nelson jettisoned, ELFRID PAYTON will step in as the starter at the point. He has an enormous transition from the Sun Belt Conference, but the quickness and athleticism are there . . . EVAN FOURNIER never found consistency in Denver, but could be a valuable wing shooter on a team that needs it . . . BEN GORDON was signed with a very 'tradeable' contract in mind. The Magic are hoping he shoots well enough to draw some suitors . . . LUKE RIDNOUR is a veteran insurance policy behind Payton . . . WILLIE GREEN can be an effective second-unit player . . . ROY DEVYN MARBLE seems like a D-Leaguer. FORWARDS: The Magic brought in CHANNING FRYE to provide some floor spacing and a veteran presence, both much-needed . . . TOBIAS HARRIS will likely have to play some more small forward. He has the offensive skill set to do it, but defense will continue to be an issue . . . He can play both forward spots, and AARON GORDON should be one of the league's better defensive forwards right off the bat. But for now, his offense is limited to dunking . . . It's a big year for MAURICE HARKLESS, who has yet to establish himself as a rotation-caliber player. With Harris and Gordon capable of playing the 3, Harkless could lose major minutes . . . ANDREW NICHOLSON has a ways to go after a disappointing second season. He's likely on the outside of this rotation. CENTERS: NIKOLA VUCEVIC is a cornerstone player in Orlando because he's big, and he does everything just well enough. He's not a game-changer on either side of the court . . . KYLE O'QUINN has had some good moments in garbage-time games the past two seasons. It's enough to keep him on the roster.
CLEVELAND: GUARDS: KYRIE IRVING will play off the ball more. With defenses keying on LeBron James, Irving should become a more efficient scorer . . . DION WAITERS will start for the Cavaliers at shooting guard. He shows flashes of brilliance on offense, but like Irving, doesn't play defense . . . MIKE MILLER reunites with James as a part-time floor spacer . . . JOE HARRIS' deep shooting makes him a possible long-term replacement for Miller. FORWARDS: LeBRON JAMES is the MVP favorite. He'll fill up the stat sheet while having these Cavaliers in a position to win every single night . . . KEVIN LOVE is one of the game's premier power forwards. He should have plenty of open looks this season, as he plays off of James. He'll also rack up rebounds . . . TRISTAN THOMPSON's switch from shooting left-handed to righty last season went well. He's a solid two-way player who should see time at center as well . . . SHAWN MARION will be a swiss-army knife off the bench for the Cavs. He can do a little bit of everything and will allow James to get a little rest this season. . . JAMES JONES followed James to Cleveland. He'll see minutes in a handful of games as a three-point specialist. CENTERS: ANDERSON VAREJAO stayed relatively healthy last season, and the Cavs will need him considering their thin rotation up front. He never developed much of an offensive game, but his energy, defense and rebounding fit well alongside Thompson and James.

Because of this information, no power rating or computer score edges are posted for this game.

*Magic-Cavaliers Preview* =========================

Orlando (6-9) at Cleveland (5-7), 7:00 p.m. EDT

LeBron James admits that his Cleveland Cavaliers are "fragile" in the wake of a four-game losing streak.

They may have the right opponent coming to town Monday night to help cure their woes.

The Cavaliers have won seven straight over the Orlando Magic as they look to avoid a rare five-game slide with James in their lineup.

Cleveland (5-7) squandered an early 18-point lead and lost 110-93 to Toronto on Saturday. James had 15 points - nearly 10 below his average - and 10 assists, and admitted afterward that the state of affairs is far from good.

"We're a very fragile team right now, we were a fragile team from the beginning," he said. "Any little adversity hits us, we just shell up."

The last time James lost five straight was Feb. 27-March 8, 2011, with Miami. He never played in five straight defeats in the last four seasons of his first stint with the Cavaliers.

James endured two slides of at least five straight with Cleveland in 2005-06, one such streak in 2004-05 and three in his rookie season of 2003-04 including the first five games of his career.

Despite Cleveland's problems, the league's most visible player believes things will get better.

"I'm very optimistic," he said. "I'm very positive, more positive than I thought I'd be right now. We'll look at what we did wrong, the things we did right and be ready (Monday).

"It's still too early for me. ... I can't be negative at all. Once I crack, it trickles down to everybody else, I would never do that to these guys."

Much of the blame has fallen on first-year coach David Blatt, who is also insistent that a turnaround will come.

"(I) haven't had a losing record in my career and will not have one here," Blatt said.

James won his last eight games with the Heat against Orlando, which has failed to beat Cleveland since a 108-104 win Nov. 23, 2012.

The Magic (6-9) could be without second-leading scorer Tobias Harris, who sat out Saturday's 99-92 home defeat to Miami with a strained right calf. Harris is averaging a career-high 18.8 points and is second on the team with 8.4 rebounds per game.

"T.B. is one of our leaders, offensive and defensively," guard Evan Fournier said. "He's a big presence so it was huge not having him on the court tonight."

Nik Vucevic recorded his NBA-best 11th double-double and fifth in a row with a career-high 33 points and 17 rebounds. The issue for the 7-footer was being forced away from the basket to guard Chris Bosh, who scored 14 of his 32 points in the fourth quarter.

"I'm not really used to guarding players like him," Vucevic said. "Usually I'm around the paint, trying to help, but with him you can't do that."

He figures to match up with a similar player in Kevin Love, who has six double-doubles to place him among the league leaders.

The Cavs are 2-4 at home, where they shoot an NBA-best 42.1 percent on 3-pointers.

The Magic are last in the Eastern Conference with 277.6 passes per game.
