*Phillies-Rockies Preview* ==========================

By TAYLOR BECHTOLD STATS Writer

Philadelphia (33-35) at Colorado (35-33), 4:10 p.m. EDT

Although they've had a rough homestand, the Colorado Rockies haven't skipped a beat offensively since All-Star Troy Tulowitzki went on the disabled list.

That could change, however, as they face a resurgent Cole Hamels.

The Rockies will try to stay hot at the plate and finish their 10-game stay at Coors Field with a .500 record Sunday when they take on Hamels and the Philadelphia Phillies.

Colorado (36-33) snapped their three-game skid on the homestand by scoring six first-inning runs and cruising to a 10-5 victory over the Phillies on Saturday.

The Rockies continue to hit at a torrid pace at Coors Field, ranking at or near the top of the major leagues with 214 runs, 49 home runs and a .286 batting average at home.

They've totaled 17 runs in their first two games since losing Tulowitzki, who is expected to miss four to six weeks after suffering a broken rib Thursday. The shortstop is second in the NL with a .347 batting average, to go along with 16 homers and 51 RBIs.

In the last 10 games overall, rookie Nolan Arenado has hit .400 while Carlos Gonzalez has batted .350 with 18 RBIs. Gonzalez is 6 for 8 with a homer and two doubles in the first two games of this series.

"We can't get CarGo out," Philadelphia manager Charlie Manuel said.

Manuel hopes that changes Sunday with Gonzalez facing Hamels (2-9, 4.45 ERA), who has gotten off to a strong start this month. Gonzalez went 1 for 7 against the left-hander last season.

Since losing a career-worst six consecutive starts, Hamels is 1-0 in two starts this month as he's allowed three runs and struck out 16 in 13 innings.

Hamels gave up two runs over six innings in a 3-2 loss at Minnesota on Tuesday.

"I felt like I was throwing all four pitches for strikes and being aggressive with them," Hamels said.

He's also pitched well against the Rockies, going 3-0 with a 1.95 ERA over his last five matchups with them - all Phillies victories.

Dexter Fowler is 3 for 17 when facing Hamels, though he could be out of the starting lineup for a third straight game with a bruised right knuckle.

Tyler Colvin is 3 for 8 with a homer since taking over for Fowler in center field, with shortstop Josh Rutledge moving into the leadoff role.

Michael Cuddyer has batted .375 over a team-best 13-game hitting streak, but he's hitless in 10 career at-bats against Hamels.

Scheduled Colorado starter Jhoulys Chacin (4-3, 4.52) had gone winless in seven straight starts before beating Washington on Tuesday, when he allowed two runs in five innings in an 8-3 victory.

"It was a long stretch without winning a game, but it finally came," the right-hander said. "Hopefully, this will start a winning streak."

Chacin has had success versus the Phillies, going 1-0 with a 1.37 ERA in three career starts against them.

Ryan Howard and Jimmy Rollins are a combined 0 for 16 with six strikeouts lifetime when facing Chacin.

Teammates Ben Revere and Michael Young have been the hottest Phillies. Revere is 11 for 20 over his last four games and Young is hitting .410 on the road trip.

Philadelphia (33-36) is closing a 10-game road trip seeking its third win in four games.
