| BAYLOR: The Baylor program has been immersed in controversy stemming from an independent investigation that uncovered sexual assault allegations. The fallout was head coach Art Briles being dismissed and Jim Grobe named interim head coach. It's anyone's guess how Baylor will respond as a team in the aftermath, especially with the team having lost several recruits. But an offense that remains in good hands with QB Seth Russell and RBs Shock Linwood and Johnny Jefferson should once again be among the best in the country. | | BOISE ST: QB Brett Rypien returns after having led the Mountain West in passing yards (3,353) as a freshman last season. In fact, Boise State loses only two starters from an offense that scored more than 50 points five times last season. The defense, however, lost its entire starting line, including pass-rushing beast LB Kamalei Correa, who left early for the NFL. |
