| BOSTON COLLEGE: Boston College is coming off a season in which it had the nation's top-ranked defense but third-worst offense. The hope is that new offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler, who most recently held the same position at Virginia Tech, can lead a revamped attack with RB Jon Hilliman having recovered from a foot injury and QB Patrick Towles having arrived as a graduate transfer from Kentucky.
| | NC STATE: Sophomore Jalen McClendon is expected to be the team's new starting quarterback after having spent the past two years as Jacoby Brissett's understudy. Redshirt freshman Jakobi Myers is a highly touted dual-threat QB recruit whom head coach Dave Doeren says could still claim the job. |
