| SYRACUSE: While new head coach Dino Babers is known for running an offensive system that's all about tempo, quarterback development and the passing game, his offenses at Bowling Green also had elite running games. Expect a breakthrough season for versatile sophomore RB Dontae Strickland.
| | BOSTON COLLEGE: Boston College is coming off a season in which it had the nation's top-ranked defense but third-worst offense. The hope is that new offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler, who most recently held the same position at Virginia Tech, can lead a revamped attack with RB Jon Hilliman having recovered from a foot injury and QB Patrick Towles having arrived as a graduate transfer from Kentucky.
