| DUKE: Fifth-year senior QB Thomas Sirk is expected to be ready for the start of the season despite having torn his left Achilles tendon in February. The defense will have to replace All-American safety Jeremy Cash, who is now a Carolina Panther after been the centerpiece of the Blue Devils' 3-3-5 defense.
| | NOTRE DAME: The Irish made it to a New Year's Day game last season without some of their best players, and now they welcome RB Tarean Folston and DT Jarron Jones back into the lineup. They'll need them, as the departures of stars WR Will Fuller and LB Jaylon Smith create voids that will be tough to fill. Notre Dame does return a pair of top-tier QBs in Deshone Kizer and Malik Zaire'most college teams don't have one QB as good as either one. |
