| CLEMSON: QB Deshaun Watson enters the 2016 season as the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy, and Clemson will need another spectacular season from the junior if it wants to get back to the national title game. The offense gets a boost from the return of WR Mike Williams, who suffered a fracture in his neck after colliding with the goal post padding on the Tigers' first drive of the 2015 season. In 2014, Williams had set a team record for receiving yards by a sophomore (1,030). There are more questions on the defensive side of the ball, where the Tigers will need to replace star pass rushers Shaq Lawson and Kevin Dodd as well as the biggest names in their secondary. And although the secondary lost starters Mackensie Alexander, T.J. Green and Jayron Kearse to the NFL, senior CB Cordrea Tankersley returns as the leader in the defensive backfield.
| | AUBURN: The defense will be the focal point of the team with a new coordinator in Kevin Steele and a potentially dominant line that features Carl Lawson and Montravius Adams. Look for RB Jovon Robinson (639 yds) to be the focal point of the offense as Auburn's clear-cut top option in the running game.
