| APPALACHIAN ST: Appalachian State looks to build off its 11-win season last year, and the team is in a good position to do so with a group of returning RBs led by Marcus Cox (1,423 yds). The offense, which ranked 30th in FBS in 2015, also has QB Taylor Lamb (2,387 yds, 31 TD) returning. The defense should be improved with nine returning starters. | | TENNESSEE: Dual-threat QB Joshua Dobbs and downhill runner Jalen Hurd form a talented backfield, while DE Derek Barnett is a force off the edge for the defense. If Tennessee can win the types of close games it lost to Oklahoma and Alabama in 2015, the team could find itself in the hunt for a national playoff berth. |
