| E MICHIGAN: Heading into his second year in Ypsilanti, head coach Chris Creighton has done a solid job recruiting, building up some solid young depth. But this team is in no position to compete in the MAC West. While Eastern Michigan has an explosive playmaker in Reggie Bell, the Eagles' defense is likely to allow far more big plays than Bell and the offense can conjure. Even if everything breaks right, 6-6 appears as if it might be a best-case scenario. | | C MICHIGAN: The Chippewas were certainly thrown for a loop when head coach Dan Enos left last January to take a coordinator job at Arkansas. New head coach John Bonamego hasn't been part of the college game since the 1990's, but comes with a long r'sum' of NFL assistant stops. He inherits a team short on experience at a lot of spots that still lives in the wrong division of the MAC, but CMU has enough talent to make a run at a bowl game. |
