| TEXAS TECH: Texas Tech managed to win only seven games last season despite the fact that QB Patrick Mahomes threw for 4,652 yards and 36 touchdowns while running for another 10 scores. That was because of a defense that ranked 124th in points allowed (43.6 ppg) and was the only FBS team to give up more than 7,000 yards in 2015. | | TCU: All-American QB Trevone Boykin is gone. So are RB Aaron Greene, WR Josh Doctson and four starting offensive linemen. But the line still returns 44 career starts, the receiving unit is deep and transfer QB Kenny Hill showed at Texas A&M that he can be electric in the right circumstances. Combine that with a young, hungry defense that came into its own in the second half of 2015, and the Horned Frogs are once again a threat to win the Big 12. |
