| AKRON: Although QB Thomas Woodson returns, Akron ranked 104th in FBS in total offense last season and has to replace all five starters among its offensive line. The defense finds itself in a similar predicament, having to overcome the losses of DTs Rodney Coe and Cody Grice and all three linebackers, including MAC Defensive Player of the Year Jatavis Brown. | | KENT ST: The Golden Flashes started four freshmen at offensive skill positions late last year (QB George Bollas, RB Raekwon James and WRs Antwan Dixon and Johnny Woods) for a unit that ranked ahead of only UCF in FBS in total offense. The strength of Kent State will be a defense led by star safety Nate Holley. |
