| TEXAS TECH: After a year of uncertainty, QB Davis Webb (7.5 YPA, 20 TD, 9 INT) is the unquestioned starter behind a mostly intact O-Line. The passing game lost Eric Ward and Jace Amaro, but WR Bradley Marquez (633 rec yds, 6 TD) should flourish as an inside receiver. RB DeAndre Washington (450 rush yds, 4 TD) is a capable back. The team improved its D-Line with JUCO transfers, and ILB V.J. Fehoko transferred from Utah, but this is still a poor defense. | | IOWA ST: New OC Mark Mangino takes over an offense that scored only 24.8 PPG. But QB Grant Rohach (6.3 YPA, 8 TD, 7 INT) has some weapons in TE E.J. Bibbs (462 rec yds) and WRs Quenton Bundrage (676 rec yds, 9 TD) and USF transfer D'Vario Montgomery. RBs Aaron Wimberly (4.0 YPC) and DeVondrick Nealy (3.9 YPC) are mediocre. ISU's defense is lacking in many areas. LB Jared Brackens (61 tackles) and CB Nigel Tribune (6 PD) shine brightest. |
