| UCF: The Knights could not have had a worse season last year, as their 0-12 record included a loss to an FCS team. With former Oregon offensive coordinator Scott Frost taking over as head coach, UCF will go from a pro-style offense to the fast-paced, no-huddle spread with which Oregon has enjoyed success in recent seasons. Frost brought in Erik Chinander, who had been linebackers coach at Oregon, to run a 3-4 scheme as defensive coordinator. | | HOUSTON: Houston went 13-1 in Tom Herman's first year as head coach and won the Chick-fil-A Bowl against Florida State. The Cougars will have the services of a pair of talented transfers in former Texas RB Duke Catalon and former Oklahoma WR Ra'Shaad Samples. Expect QB Greg Ward Jr. to build on an impressive '15 season in which he threw 17 TD passes and rushed for 21 more.
