| | | KENTUCKY: The Wildcats made it all the way to the national title game last season, and bring back a ton of the talent from that team. It will start with the Harrison twins, as SG Aaron (13.7 PPG, 3.0 RPG, 36% threes) and PG Andrew (10.9 PPG, 4.0 APG, 3.2 RPG) both improved greatly throughout the season, and are both tough to guard at 6-foot-6. While their shooting has improved, the duo is at its best when driving to the basket. In the frontcourt, C Willie Cauley-Stein (6.8 PPG, 6.1 RPG, 2.9 BPG) is back after injuring his foot in the NCAA Tournament last year. He is still raw on the offensive end, but the 7-footer can change a game on the defensive end with his shot blocking. Joining him in this formidable frontcourt is 6-foot-8 PF Alex Poythress (5.9 PPG, 4.5 RPG in 18.4 MPG), 6-foot-9 PF Marcus Lee (2.4 PPG, 1.4 RPG, 62% FG) and fellow 7-footer C Dakari Johnson (5.2 PPG, 3.9 RPG, 57% FG), who all comprise what should be the best rebounding team in the country. Combining that experience with the highly-recruited freshmen talent of PF Karl-Anthony Towns, PF Trey Lyles and PG Tyler Ulis, and you have the makings of a national championship team. |

*Boston U.-Kentucky Preview* ============================
Boston University (1-1) at Kentucky (3-0), 7:00 p.m. EDT
Kentucky played well defensively in two home games to start the season.
That didn't compare at all to the display coach John Calipari's top-ranked team put forth in its first away from home.
His Wildcats won't leave Lexington for the next month as they begin an eight-game homestand Friday night against Boston University.
Kentucky (3-0) seeks its 17th straight non-conference home victory after holding its first two opponents there to 33.0 percent shooting.
The Wildcats then went to Indianapolis on Tuesday and crushed No. 5 Kansas 72-40. They limited the Jayhawks to 19.6 percent shooting, their lowest figure in 12 seasons under coach Bill Self.
"We were good today," Calipari said. "What we did was we defended and it makes your offense a lot easier when you guard the way we did."
No Kentucky player logged more than 21 minutes in a performance that demonstrated why there is consideration that this team has a serious chance of going undefeated.
"I'm blessed to have a group of guys like this, that they're talented yet they're selfless enough to do this," Calipari said. "We have guys who watch us and say I wouldn't want to do that, basically just say I would be out of rhythm, I want my 35 minutes. And these guys are performing at a high level, accepting it and cheering for each other and comfortable in their own skin."
There was cause for concern after Kentucky trailed 38-33 at halftime to Buffalo in its last home game Sunday before it limited the Bulls to 4-of-19 shooting over the final 20 minutes for a 71-52 win.
The second-half defensive effort Tuesday was even better as Kansas shot 13.0 percent (3 of 23).
"It's just energy," forward Willie Cauley-Stein said. "And you can tell the games that we don't play like that. The games we're not playing up on the ball, hard and bothering the ball. It's just a slower-paced game."
Boston (1-1) will no doubt try to slow down the game as it faces a top-ranked team for the first time since a 64-47 loss at Duke to open 2005-06.
The Terriers used a 16-2 second-half run to take control in Wednesday's 71-63 win at Norfolk State. John Papale finished with 17 points and Nathan Dieudonne had 11 and 10 rebounds.
Coach Joe Jones said he scheduled Kentucky to give Louisville native Dieudonne a game in his home state. Jones talked about this matchup during Patriot League media day in the preseason.
"It's a great game for us to have a chance to coach Cal in that arena in that atmosphere against that level of talent (and) can do nothing but help you, and we'll use all the positives from that game to help us in our quest to make a run this year at the Patriot League championship," Jones said.
Kentucky has taken all three matchups in this series, winning 91-57 on Nov. 30, 2010. Boston's last win over a ranked opponent came over No. 18 Navy in the round of 16 of the 1959 NCAA tournament.
The Wildcats' next game away from home is against UCLA on Dec. 20 in Chicago.
