Blow your nose well before you go to bed. Often snoring is caused by a buildup of mucous in your nose. A stopped-up nose typically causes you to open your mouth during your sleep in order to breathe. When you breathe through your mouth you snore so keep some tissue at the side of your bed to prevent the problem before it starts. Stop smoking or, at least, abstain from smoking right before bedtime. Smoking has many health impacts. One of the more annoying is its contribution to snoring. AveoTSD's are soft molded rubber-like material that look a lot like a very large baby pacifier. You insert your tongue through the hole into the bulb portion and it is held there by suction. If snoring is a problem for you, try cutting out that last glass of wine before bed. Alcohol consumption is a common cause of snoring. Drinking before bed can cause you to sleep more deeply, and snoring is a common result. Skip that last drink for a more restful sleep. If you sleep with someone who tends to have a snoring problem, one way to ensure that you get a good night sleep is to go to bed before they do. This way, you will have a better chance of not hearing all of the noise. This may not help if you sleep lightly, but the effort may not be in vain. Do your best to avoid sleeping on your back if you have been dealing with bad snoring. Some people have even sewn tennis balls onto their shirts to prevent them from doing it while asleep! This seems painful, but you do what works best for you. You can also try using special pillows and other special anti-snoring bed items to help prevent you from snoring.
