Water is essential. We use it as fuel, coolant, lubricant ... in fact, everything your body does requires water as a component or channel.

By the most conservative water freedom system review estimate, the amount of water a person needs is two gallons. This is one gallon for consumption and cooking, and another gallon for cleanliness and hygiene. If you are setting up a water and waste management system for your BOL (for example, at a BugOut site), then this would be a good scope for planning and management.

But if you are only considering bare-bone survival, then a couple of eight (8) ounce bottles of water per day will suffice. The more work and exercise you do, the more water you will need, so plan ahead.

After water, food is the number one resource to count on in the event of a crisis. You need food for energy, healing from illness or injury, and high levels of brain function.

Adults need more than 2,500 calories daily from fat, protein and carbohydrates to be active and healthy. Anything less than 2500 calories a day will lead to weight loss in a few days and sickness in a few weeks.
