| SAN JOSE ST: Projected starter QB Josh Love appeared in five games in 2016-17, completing 51.7% of his passes and throwing for only two TDs with five INTs. His play leaves a lot to be desired for an offense that features some dangerous weapons. Defensively, the Spartans are going to struggle. | | UTAH: Utah's defense was really good last season, allowing only 23.9 PPG (38th in CFB). Fortunately the Utes return six key contributors from that team, and they should be excellent on that side of the ball once again. They do, however, need QB Troy Williams to make major strides as a passer. |
