| BYU: QB Taysom Hill (2,938 pass yds, 1,344 rush yds) should improve in Year 2 of Robert Anae's up-tempo offense. BYU returns RB Jamaal Williams (1,233 rush yds), but must replace top WR Cody Hoffman. The front seven is solid despite the loss of LB Kyle Van Noy. The returns of CBs Jordan Johnson and Trent Trammell (missed all of '13 with torn ACLs) solidify the secondary. | | TEXAS: The biggest question mark to begin the Charlie Strong era is the health status of oft-concussed QB David Ash (8.7 YPA, 7 TD, 2 INT). But this will be a run-first offense with RBs Malcolm Brown (904 rush yds, 9 TD), Jonathan Gray (780 rush yds) and Joe Bergeron (5.0 YPC, 4 TD). Texas' receiving corps also has great depth. The defense should improve with DE Cedric Reed (10 sacks), LB Jordan Hicks (40 tackles) and star CB Quandre Diggs (10 PD). |
