| KENT ST: While Kent State has enough talent on defense to keep the Flashes from getting blown out, the offense is unlikely to put up enough points, even against a relatively soft schedule. Everything that could have
gone wrong did go wrong in last year's 2-9 campaign. As for this year, a return to 2013 levels (when the Golden Flashes were 4-8) seems like a reasonable expectation. | | AKRON: Purely based on talent, this is the best team Terry Bowden has fielded since arriving at Akron. The front seven has a chance to be the MAC's best, and in a wide-open East division that should be enough to keep them in contention. Whether or not they earn their second ever MAC title game birth'and first since 2005'will come down to quarterback offense and the back line of the defense holding up. |
